Bungee

I met Bungee on the street last week. He will talk and talk but I have no idea what he is saying most of the time (maybe all of the time). I saw him this morning and he was talking groceries (bones) home, I think. Last week he told me he is 10, but looks like 8.  He seems really smart and tries real hard to get me to understand him, but I cannot. Charades is a hard game. I guess he is my new best friend.

Saturday, 6:15 p.m.---Bungee just called from the hotel front desk. I had no idea what he was saying and realized he was in the lobby, so I hung up and started down. I met him and a desk clerk halfway there. We went to the lobby and sat down and I tried to talk with the translation book, but he could not find any words to match what he wanted to tell me.  I was concerned he was asking me to dinner, as he would motion w/ 2 fingers to his mouth (chopsticks)!  I called Lucas and he talked to Bungee.  Bungee was asking if I had breakfast, which may mean dinner too, I'm not sure. Anyway, Lucas said he just wanted to have a general conversation with me. So after we hung up with Lucas, Bungee got a pencil and paper from the desk clerk and wrote something in Chinese and I had to explain I still could not read it. And I showed him the book again. Then the clerk told him ‘tomorrow’ as if that was the word he was looking for, so he told me ‘tomorrow’ and was happy, said bye, and zipped out the revolving entry door.  My head was spinning like the door.   I have no idea what it was about. I just hope I did not agree to go to his house to eat, tomorrow.
