Lunch/wedding entertainment

Today, Lucas & I went to the usual restaurant for lunch.  They had a wedding set up inside and about 2/3 of the tables were set up for them.  We were seated in the part reserved for regular customers.  The stage faces the whole room, us included.
The entertainers, one guy in sunglasses and a cowboy hat & the xaxophone player toasted the bride & groom and the American in back!  I have no idea how I became part of the party, but everyone turned & lifted their glasses to me, too.
The only reason I knew the first guy said something about me was when I heard 'the American' and everyone turned toward me.  Lucas told me when the 2nd sax player said his toast.  He was the only sax player I have seen in China and he was pretty good.
The bride and groom both seemed very unhappy, but this started before I was involved with the party, so it was not my fault.  I think it was his ears she was unhappy about.  OK.

Longii rice terraces

Out of everything I have seen here, these impress me most.  The work has continued for centuries and has not changed much.  There is some commercialization in the area, but the farmers have not changed.  The lives they live are simplier that one can easily believe.

In the picture on the old woman's house, you can see her sitting inside to doorway (just above the tea basket in the pic).
